Freight calculators
Work out your volume, air chargeable weight and container size before you request a quote. Each calculator can send its numbers straight into the quote form.
Volume (CBM / cubic feet) calculator
Enter the size of one piece and how many you have. Ocean LCL is usually priced by volume or weight, whichever is greater.
- Total volume (CBM)
- 0 m³
- Total volume (ft³)
- 0 ft³
Air chargeable weight calculator
Airlines charge the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H in cm ÷ 6,000 per piece). Some carriers use a different divisor, so treat this as an estimate.
- Actual weight
- 0 kg
- Volumetric weight
- 0 kg
- Estimated chargeable weight
- 0 kg
Which container fits my cargo?
Enter your total volume and weight. We compare them with typical usable space and payload for standard dry containers. Your agent will confirm the final load plan.
20'
~28 CBM usable · max payload approx. 28,000 kg
40'
~58 CBM usable · max payload approx. 26,500 kg
40' HC
~66 CBM usable · max payload approx. 26,500 kg
Figures are approximate. Real capacity depends on packaging, stacking and road weight limits.

What affects your price
Every shipment is priced on its own details. These are the factors a freight agent looks at when preparing your quote.
Estimate volume and weightMode of transport
Ocean (LCL or FCL), air or RORO. Air is fastest; ocean is usually the most economical for heavy or bulky cargo.
Volume and weight
Ocean freight is mostly priced by volume (CBM); air freight by actual or volumetric weight, whichever is greater.
Origin and destination
The ports or airports involved, the distance, and current carrier schedules and surcharges on that lane.
Container type
A 20', 40', 40' high cube, reefer, flat-rack or open-top container each has its own cost.
Customs clearance
Duties and taxes are set by the authorities, not by us, and depend on the goods, their value and their classification.
Cargo insurance
Optional coverage is based on the declared value of your goods.
Pickup and door delivery
Collecting at your door or delivering to an address adds trucking, compared with port-to-port or drop-off.
